Job Description

SmileCraft Dental Studio is seeking a motivated and experienced dental front desk receptionist and scheduling coordinator to join our team! The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing patient interactions, scheduling appointments, and ensuring smooth daily operations at our dental office. Schedule will be Monday through Thursday, 32-40hrs per week.
Key Responsibilities:
Answer and manage incoming phone calls, emails, and text messages in a professional manner. Greet and check in patients as they arrive, ensuring a positive first impression. Schedule and confirm appointments, coordinating with the dental team to optimize patient flow. Manage lab cases by checking cases in, scheduling case deliveries, and tracking lab invoices. Perform insurance verifications to ensure coverage and benefits. Assist patients in signing up for alternative payment options through loans such as: care credit, lending club, and others. Mailing and electronically sending claims to insurances for authorization of payment. Handle patient inquiries, providing excellent customer service and addressing concerns effectively. Assist with administrative tasks, including filing, data entry, and maintaining patient records. Collaborate with dental staff to ensure efficient office operations.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in the dental field is required. High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in healthcare administration is a plus. Open Dental software experience is preferred. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). Knowledge of insurance verification processes and procedures is preferred but not required. Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
