In this essential role, you will be the heart of our front desk—serving as the first point of contact for our patients and providing exceptional customer service while managing smooth daily business operations. Responsibilities Patient Hospitality:
Greet patients warmly and efficiently manage the check-in and check-out processes with professional phone etiquette and a welcoming demeanor.
Strategic Scheduling:
Accurately schedule appointments and coordinate closely with the dental procedure timelines to optimize daily patient flow; fill last minute cancelations, and continuously confirm patient appointments
Insurance & Verification:
Perform comprehensive insurance eligibility checks, verify dental coverage, and confidently navigate insurance portals.
Billing & Collections:
Collect copays, present treatment plans with transparent out-of-pocket estimates, process payments, and manage daily billing procedures utilizing dental practice management systems.
Records & Compliance:
Depending upon experience level: maintain accurate, organized, and confidential dental records, ensuring strict documentation review in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Communication Management:
Handle the phone system with grace, addressing patient inquiries, managing text/email confirmation platforms, and routing calls appropriately. Skills & Requirements Dental Experience (Strictly Required): Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience working in a dental front office setting. No exceptions—general medical or retail customer service experience will not be considered.
Dental Software Mastery:
Extensive experience with Dentrix dental office management software is required.
Dental Fluency:
Strong working knowledge of dental terminology, common dental procedures, insurance breakdown structures, and claims processing.
Administrative Excellence:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, strong typing skills (including 10-key for accurate ledger entry), and excellent organizational skills for digital filing.
Communication:
Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to handle high-volume patient interactions smoothly and professionally.
Bilingual Capabilities:
Conversational Spanish is a major plus to help us serve our diverse local Space Coast community, but is not required.
Compensation Hourly Rate:
