Job Description

At Health & Psychiatry, located in the heart of Oldsmar, Florida, with offices across the state, we are looking for a compassionate bilingual (English & Spanish) Front Desk Receptionist to join our Health and Psychiatry clinic to join our team. Our mission is to provide a healthcare experience centered around hope, health, and harmony through personalized behavioral health services. The ideal Front Desk Receptionist candidate will serve as the first point of contact for patients, providing a welcoming environment while efficiently managing administrative tasks. This role is essential in supporting the clinical team and enhancing the patient's experience. Key Responsibilities:
Patient Interaction Greet patients and visitors warmly, ensuring a positive first impression. Tele Check in and out Patients Communicate effectively in both English and Spanish , assisting patients who have limited English proficiency Provide patients with necessary forms and assist them with check-in/check-out processes Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and schedule appointments and confirm appointment Administrative Duties Manage patient records with confidentiality, accuracy, and compliance with HIPAA regulations Process billing, insurance verification, and co-payments Coordinate communication between patients, clinicians, and other staff Maintain an organized and clean reception area Operational Support Handle appointment reminders and follow-up calls Assist with clerical duties such as filing, scanning, and faxing documents Support the clinic with any additional administrative tasks as required Qualifications Bachelor's degree (preferred) Fluency in English and Spanish is required (written and verbal) Previous experience in a medical or psychiatric office is highly desirable Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems and MS Office Suite Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong organizational abilities with attention to detail Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism Knowledge of mental health confidentiality laws (HIPAA) is a plus Skills & Competencies Compassionate and patient-focused demeanor Multitasking and time-management abilities Problem-solving and conflict resolution skills Team player with a proactive attitude Cultural sensitivity when working with diverse populations Work Environment Clinical setting specializing in mental health and psychiatric care Direct interaction with patients experiencing a range of mental health conditions Collaborative team environment involving psychiatrists, therapists, and support staff Training will be provided
