Located in the downtown Orlando area, our goal is to ensure all patients receive the mental health care they need, regardless of their health insurance status.
Job Description:
We are seeking a professional and friendly Medical Front Desk Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to patients while ensuring smooth day-to-day operations at our front desk. This role involves managing patient appointments, answering calls, processing paperwork, and supporting administrative tasks to keep the office running efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet patients and visitors with a welcoming attitude and direct them accordingly. Answering phone calls and responding to inquiries regarding appointments, services, and office policies. Work with scheduling department to maintain provider schedule Ensure all necessary patient forms are completed and maintained accurately. Maintain and organize patient records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations. Handle patient check-ins and check-outs, providing any necessary instructions or directions, including collecting copays. Coordinate patient flow to ensure timely appointments and minimal wait times. Monitor office supplies and reorder as necessary to maintain a well-stocked and efficient front desk. Assist medical staff with various administrative tasks as needed (e.g., filing, faxing, mailing). Assistant in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the waiting area and front desk.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's degree or relevant certification preferred). Previous experience in a medical office or customer service role preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle patients in a calm, professional manner. Proficiency in office equipment, such as phone systems, fax machines, and computer software. Experience with electronics health records (EHR) systems and scheduling software is a plus. Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance processing is preferred. Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines. A friendly and patient-centered attitude is a must!
