Job Description
Job Summary We are a small family practice seeking a professional Front Desk Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors, providing exceptional customer service while managing administrative tasks efficiently. This role is crucial in ensuring a welcoming environment and smooth operations within our dental clinic. We are a small team that is cross-trained and we work as a team to help one another. This position will primarily be front desk and dental assisting only if needed. We primarily work Monday-Thursday. Responsibilities Greet and assist patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner. Manage appointment scheduling and confirmations Handle incoming calls, inquiries, and correspondence promptly. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation Process patient information and update computerized records as necessary. Coordinate and communicate within the team to facilitate patient flow and address any issues that arise. Ensure the front desk area is organized, clean, and welcoming at all times. Assist with billing inquiries, insurance verification and NEA's. We are a fee for service office but we do file a claim on our patients behalf. Qualifications & skills required Previous experience as a receptionist in a medical or dental setting is preferred. Proficiency in Carestack or similar dental practice management software- Strong knowledge of dental anatomy and terminology Bilingual skills are a plus to accommodate diverse patient populations. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation review. Proficient in managing medical records and understanding HIPAA regulations and compliance requirements Understanding of infection control protocols and practices Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients and staff. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism at all times. Knowledge of dental imaging systems preferably Dexis.
