Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Medical Front Office Receptionist, where your energy and organizational skills will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors. In this vital role, you will manage front desk operations, coordinate patient appointments, handle medical records, and ensure seamless communication between patients and healthcare providers. Your proactive approach will help create a welcoming environment while supporting efficient clinic operations. Responsibilities Greet patients and visitors warmly, providing excellent customer service and answering multi-line phone systems with professionalism and courtesy. Schedule patient appointments accurately using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) system eClinicalWorks. Verify insurance coverage, perform insurance verification, and process payments related to medical billing and collections. Manage medical records, including filing, documentation review, and maintaining confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Assist with intake procedures, including collecting patient information, updating health histories, and explaining clinic policies. Support medical office management tasks such as appointment reminders, care plan coordination, and data entry. Handle clerical duties like filing, data entry (including 10 key typing), and managing office supplies to ensure smooth front desk operations. Requirements Prior experience in a medical office or clinic setting is highly preferred; familiarity with clinic environments is a plus. Proficiency or ability to learn in EMR systems. Exceptional phone etiquette with the ability to handle multi-line phone systems efficiently while maintaining professionalism. Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse patient populations effectively. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in medical records management and appointment scheduling. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality at all times. Previous clinic or dental office experience is preferred; familiarity with insurance verification and medical billing processes is essential.
