Currently seeking a Front Desk Receptionist . Responsibilities include greeting patients, maintaining doctor schedules, use of Open Dental software, billing knowledge and general office duties. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required. A. Essential Duties 1. Serves patients by greeting and helping them, scheduling appointments, and maintaining records and accounts. 2. Creates a welcoming atmosphere by greeting patients and visitors in person or on the telephone, and answering or referring inquiries. 3. Must exercise utmost diplomacy and tact to provide excellent customer service for patients; practices confidentiality and privacy protocols in accordance with Company policies and HIPAA requirements. 4. Optimizes patients' satisfaction, provider time, and treatment room utilization by scheduling appointments in person or by telephone. 5. Keeps patient appointments on schedule by notifying provider of patient's arrival, reviewing service delivery compared to schedule, and reminding providers of service delays. 6. Proactively communicates appointment with patients and reschedule missed or no-show appointments. 7. Maintains efficient daily flow of patient appointments for dental team. 8. Accurately schedules appointments based on Dentist recommendations and visit type. 9. Comforts patients by anticipating patients' anxieties, answering patients' questions, and maintaining the reception area. 10. Ensures availability of treatment information by filing and retrieving patient records. 11. Maintains patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal and financial information. 12. Protects patients' rights by maintaining confidentiality of medical, personal, and financial information. 13. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. 14. Optimizing Dentist schedules and patient satisfaction with efficient scheduling. 15. Check in and checks out patients in a timely, friendly manner. 16.
Outstanding professional phone management skills:
manages a multiline telephone system efficiently and politely, minimizing hold time. 17. Obtains patient identification and insurance information. 18. Collection of co-payments and end of day reconciliation of payments. 19. Maintains patient accounts by verifying insurance information and coordinating with relevant organizations for payment. B.Requirements:
1. Professional and courteous 2. Self starter, motivated, and energetic to complement our practice 3. 1 years experience with Open Dental 4. Bilingual English and Spanish 5. Great communication skills via telephone and in person 6. Knowledge of dental terminology C.Experience:
1. Experience in dental field is highly desirable. 2.Computer literate:
Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) required.Job Type:
