Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Medical Assistant (MA) and Front Desk professional to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional patient service while supporting clinical operations across outpatient and inpatient settings. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will ensure smooth clinic flow, accurate documentation, and high-quality patient care. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced medical environment, utilizing your skills in medical administrative support, patient intake, vital signs, and basic clinical procedures. Duties Greet patients warmly and efficiently manage check-in and check-out processes using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems. Collect patient information, verify insurance details, and perform intake procedures to ensure accurate medical records. Measure vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration; document findings precisely. Conduct patient intake by gathering medical histories, documenting symptoms accurately, and ensuring all relevant information is properly entered into the EHR. Support physicians during examinations by preparing rooms, handling necessary supplies, and ensuring a sterile environment. Manage administrative duties such as scheduling appointments, responding to patient inquiries, and coordinating referrals, follow‑up visits, and prior authorizations. Maintain thorough documentation of patient interactions, ICD coding for diagnoses, and updates in EHR systems while adhering to confidentiality standards. Qualifications Previous experience in a healthcare environment—such as hospital medicine, outpatient clinics, or emergency departments—is highly preferred. Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and ICD coding to ensure accurate documentation. Proven ability to perform both administrative and clinical tasks effectively within a fast‑paced setting. Experience working with EHR systems for documentation, scheduling, and patient communication. Excellent communication and patient service skills, with a friendly and professional demeanor. Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Join us and make a meaningful impact on patient care while growing your clinical and administrative skill set. This paid position offers valuable hands‑on experience that contributes to the health and well‑being of our community.
