We are seeking a detail-oriented Front Desk Coordinator and a dedicated Insurance Verification Specialist to join our team and ensure the accuracy of insurance information and eligibility for our patients.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Front Desk Coordinator with a focus on insurance verification. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. The Insurance Verification Specialist is responsible for verifying patient insurance coverage, ensuring that all information is accurate and up-to-date, and resolving any issues related to insurance eligibility. This role is crucial in maintaining the financial health of our organization by preventing claim denials and ensuring timely reimbursement from insurance providers.
Key Responsibilities:
Verify insurance coverage for new and existing patients. Contact insurance companies to obtain information regarding coverage and benefits. Accurately enter and update patient insurance information in the system. Communicate effectively with patients regarding their insurance coverage and benefits. Resolve any discrepancies or issues related to insurance verification. Assist with the pre-authorization process for procedures and services. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations at all times. Collaborate with billing and coding departments to ensure accurate claims processing. Provide excellent customer service to patients and healthcare providers.
Front Desk Responsibilities:
Greeting and Assisting Visitors:
Welcome clients and visitors, providing assistance and directing them appropriately.
Phone and Email Management:
Handle incoming calls and emails, routing them to the appropriate departments or individuals.
Insurance Verification:
Verify patient insurance information, ensuring accuracy and completeness before appointments.
Scheduling:
Coordinate and schedule appointments, maintaining an organized calendar.
Administrative Support:
Perform data entry, file management, and other administrative tasks as needed.
Customer Service:
Address client inquiries and resolve issues promptly and professionally.
Office Management:
Maintain a tidy and organized front desk and reception area, and manage office supplies.
Requirements:
DENTAL EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Strong organizational and multitasking abilities Proficiency in office software and phone systems Experience in insurance verification is preferred Ability to work independently and as part of a team Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in healthcare administration is a plus. Minimum of [1-2] years of experience in DENTAL insurance verification, medical billing, or a related field. Strong understanding of insurance policies, coverage, and procedures. Proficiency in using healthcare management software and electronic health records (EHR) systems. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Knowledge of medical terminology and coding (ICD-10, CPT) is preferred.
