Medical Front Desk Receptionist Metropolitan Medical Center - 5.0 Tamarac, FL Job Details Full-time $16 - $20 an hour 18 hours ago Qualifications Bilingual Spanish Customer service Medical office experience English EMR systems Medical terminology Geriatrics Full Job Description Schedule patients Obtain and verify all required information from patients including demographic, insurance Answering inbound calls from clients, patients, doctors and nurses on multi-line phone system Take messages and transfer calls to appropriate staff or departments as needed Greet and sign in visitors and check in patients by ensuring medical records have been pulled, demographics and eligibility verified/updated, forms completed, co-pay collected Check out patients by scheduling return appointments, providing referral information if needed, ensure lab requests are completed, reconciles patient balances Schedule appointments for new and recurring patients Assist in filing duties and additional office tasks as necessary Scan and index incoming documents to the patient's EMR per practice process Provide positive and courteous customer service Must be bilingual (preferably English and Spanish, ) Experience with EMR systems Experience working with Geriatric patients
