Medical Front Office

Overview:

This position serves as the first point of contact for patients and members of the public. The ideal candidate is a skilled communicator who presents themselves in a professional, welcoming, and compassionate manner. Role is primarily based at the Tavernier clinic, with travel required up to 4 days per month to work out of satellite office in Marathon, FL.

Key Responsibilities:

Overseeing patient flow, check-in, check-out Answer phones; addressing caller needs or redirecting to appropriate staff as needed. Collect and process needed patient documents Schedule and manage appointments and conduct reminder calls Update and file patient's paper and electronic records; ensure providers have needed information prior to appointments Assist in clinical and administrative duties as needed

Qualifications:

Minimum of a high school diploma Minimum of 2 years in an office setting, preferable medical related field. Proficiency in office software (e.g., Microsoft Office) and medical office management software. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, and a desire to help people. Ability to handle sensitive patient information with discretion. Ability to multitask, handle a fast-paced environment, and take initiative Reliable transportation

Desirable Skills:

Bilingual in English and Spanish highly desirable Knowledge of medical terminology and experience with
