Job Description

Job description: Located in the heart of Evans, Ga, we are a growing Dermatology practice looking to expand our team. We are looking for friendly, dependable, goal oriented, professionals that are passionate about patient care and serving our community. As a Medical Front Office Specialist, you will have direct contact with patients and their families, as well as daily interaction with our providers in all aspects of our medical practice. The Medical Front Office Specialist will be responsible for managing incoming calls, coordinating patient referrals, assisting with biologic medication processes, and supporting billing operations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, able to multitask in a fast-paced environment, and committed to delivering an outstanding patient experience. The ideal candidate is compassionate, motivated, detail oriented, responsible, well spoken, able to easily take direction, accept feedback in a positive manner, and has the ability to maintain these characteristics without feeling overwhelmed. This is a full-time position- Monday through Friday, 7:50am to 5pm. Please keep in mind we are here to serve our patients, some deviation from these hours may be needed from time to time in order for us to deliver the high level of care and service we offer to our patients. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Answer and manage a high volume of incoming phone calls professionally and efficiently. Schedule appointments and assist patients with general questions regarding services, appointments, and office policies. Upload referrals into an EMR. Coordinate biologic medication workflows, including prior authorizations, patient assistance programs, specialty pharmacy communication, and treatment follow-up. Assist with billing questions. Maintain accurate patient records within the electronic medical record (EMR) system. Communicate effectively with providers, medical assistants, insurance companies, pharmacies, and patients. Ensure compliance with HIPAA and all patient confidentiality requirements. Provide administrative support and assist with additional office duties as assigned. Qualifications Previous medical office experience preferred. Strong customer service and communication skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to multitask and work independently in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems. Knowledge of insurance verification and medical terminology preferred.
