Job Description

Purpose Acts as receptionist to outpatients and physicians coming into the Radiology department. Relieves the radiologic technologists of such clerical duties as typing forms, filing, logging daily patient work, mailing of reports and Meets dress code standards; appearance is neat and clean. Employee authorization for access to EPHI is determined by the job function and is under the direction of his/her Department Director or Nurse Manager As part of the overall duties of the Director of Radiology, it is a responsibility of my job to determine the job function of the employees under my direction, as to protect EPHI and assign logins accordingly. Employee will be required to be readily available to work during any weather related incidents or other natural disasters and/or any emergency situation that may arise. Position Education/Qualifications High school diploma or GED completion CPR Job Knowledge/Experience The successful candidate must be familiar with medical terminology and routine; ability to interact effectively with people who have widely different backgrounds; excellent oral and communication skills; knowledge of hospital routines and functions sufficient to refer calls, order medical test. Knowledge of word and basic computers skills as well as ability to multitask. Job Requirements High school diploma or GED completion Proficient knowledge of English and spelling Communicate effectively with wide variety of individuals Basic medical terminology and computer Meets dress code standards; appearance is neat and clean. Complete annual education requirements. Maintains regulatory requirements. Reports to work on time as scheduled; completes work with in designated time. Consistently completes and maintains assigned duties; maintains PAR levels. Wear identification while on duty; uses computerized punch time system correctly. Attends annual Hospital Review and department in services, as scheduled. Attends at least __ staff meetings, reads and returns all monthly staff meeting minutes. Maintains Wayne Memorial Hospital requirements, policies and standards of confidentiality. Actively participates in department1s CQI activities. Communicates the mission, ethics and goals of Wayne Memorial Hospital - Ability to multitask Typing and basic computer related skills. Must have the ability to carry on many functions in an organized manner at the same time, i.e., answer phones, schedule exams, give verbal reports, create necessary paperwork.
