Position Summary The Medical Receptionist serves as the face of Lovely OBGYN, ensuring every patient receives outstanding service from check-in to check-out. This role combines customer service, scheduling, insurance verification, administrative support, and patient communication in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Key ResponsibilitiesPatient Experience & Front Desk Operations Welcome patients and visitors with warmth, professionalism, and compassion Answer incoming calls and assist patients with scheduling, questions, and requests Schedule, confirm, and coordinate patient appointments Ensure smooth patient flow throughout the office Maintain a positive and welcoming atmosphere for all patients Administrative Support Verify and update patient demographics and insurance information Assist patients with intake paperwork and registration forms Collect copays, deductibles, and outstanding balances Process payments accurately and maintain proper documentation Scan, upload, and maintain patient records within the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system Manage incoming faxes, referrals, authorizations, and medical records requests Insurance & Billing Support Verify insurance eligibility and benefits Obtain referrals and prior authorizations as required Assist with insurance claims processing and follow-up Coordinate with insurance carriers to resolve claim issues and billing concerns Provider & Office Coordination Communicate patient arrivals and schedule updates to providers Coordinate communication between patients, pharmacies, specialists, and healthcare providers Maintain office supplies and assist with inventory management Support daily office operations and special projects as assigned QualificationsRequired High School Diploma or GED Bilingual in English and Spanish Minimum 1 year of customer service, administrative, or medical office experience Strong computer and data-entry skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to multitask and remain professional in a fast-paced environment Preferred Experience working in an OB/GYN, Women's Health, Family Medicine, or Primary Care office Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems Insurance verification and prior authorization experience Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare office procedures Previous medical receptionist experience What We're Looking For The ideal candidate is: Friendly, professional, and compassionate Dependable and punctual Detail-oriented and highly organized Comfortable handling sensitive and confidential information Passionate about providing outstanding patient care Able to build trust and rapport with patients from diverse backgrounds What We Offer Competitive pay based on experience Paid time off Supportive and collaborative team culture Ongoing training and professional development Opportunities for growth within our practice Meaningful work that positively impacts women and families in our community Ready to Join Our Team?
