Job Description

Hiring for Medical Dermatology Clinic for Patient Service Coordinator. Must have 2-3 years experience with scheduling appointments, check in and check out and verifying patient insurance. High SchoolResponsibilities Patient Check-In & Check-Out:
Greet patients warmly, verify identity, collect and update demographic and insurance information, and manage the waiting area flow.
Appointment Scheduling:
Manage the clinic schedule efficiently, balancing routine skin checks, urgent cosmetic consultations, and surgical procedures (like biopsies or Mohs surgery).
Insurance Verification:
Cross-check patient insurance plans, obtain necessary pre-authorizations for dermatology-specific treatments, and explain copays or deductibles to patients.
Payment Collection:
Collect copays, deductibles, and payments for cosmetic procedures or retail skincare products, managing daily cash drawer balancing.
Communication & Inquiries:
Answer multi-line phones, route medical questions to the clinical triage team, and accurately handle patient messages through our Electronic Health Records (EHR) system.
Administrative Support:
Maintain a clean, organized reception area, scan incoming medical records, and comply strictly with HIPAA regulations regarding patient privacy.
