SUMMARY:
A medical receptionist position responsible for maintaining the front office and representing the practice with professionalism. This position requires multi-tasking effortlessly, prioritizing efficiently, handling patient requests, placing outbound calls to patients, and handling all administrative tasks with a positive attitude (to include patient check-in, check-out, receiving payments, and answering telephones)
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Answer Phone calls in a polite manner Schedule/Reschedule appointments (check blood thinner and pre-authorizations) Check patients in (Scan Documents and IDs, Collect Payments, scan follow-up paperwork) Balance cashbox at the end of the day Print Out Follow-Up paperwork at the end of the day Tidy up lobby at end of day (and as needed) Check Mail Scan and Fax documents as needed Turn in deposit on a weekly bases Other tasks as assigned
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or one to three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
