Job Description

THIS IS A PART-TIME POSITION WORK DAYS ARE MONDAY, WEDNESDAY, AND THURSDAY. THE SHIFT HOURS FOR EACH DAY IS 5-6 HOURS.
Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and friendly Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing front desk operations, providing exceptional customer service, and ensuring efficient patient flow. This role is crucial in creating a welcoming environment for patients while maintaining the administrative functions of the medical office. Duties Greet patients and visitors in a professional and courteous manner. Manage patient check-in and check-out processes efficiently. Schedule appointments and manage the calendar for healthcare providers. Handle incoming calls with excellent phone etiquette, addressing inquiries and directing calls as necessary. Maintain accurate patient records and health information management using electronic health record systems such as Athenahealth. Process patient information and collect payments. Assist with administrative tasks including filing, and data entry Communicate effectively with medical staff regarding patient needs and appointments. Organize, file, and maintain patient charts accurately and efficiently. Scan and upload documents into the electronic medical record (EMR) system. Ensure patient charts are prepared and ready for appointments each day. Assist with general office duties as needed to support smooth clinic operations. Requirements Excellent typing skills with attention to detail for accurate data entry. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism. A commitment to providing high-quality patient care and support. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
