In this vital role, you will manage front desk operations, coordinate appointments, and ensure seamless communication between patients and medical staff. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help create a welcoming environment while supporting efficient clinic operations. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in medical administrative support within a fast-paced healthcare setting. Responsibilities Greet patients and visitors warmly, providing excellent customer service and guiding them through check-in procedures Schedule, confirm, and coordinate patient appointments using electronic health record (EHR) systems. eClinicalWorks experience a plus. Verify insurance coverage, perform insurance eligibility checks. Collect co-pays, co-insurances, calculate and collect deductibles. Manage medical records by filing, updating, and reviewing documentation to ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations Handle multi-line phone systems with professional phone etiquette, addressing patient inquiries and routing calls efficiently Support clinic operations by maintaining accurate documentation. Skills Extensive experience with EMR. Proficiency in medical coding including
CPT, ICD-9/10
coding standards for accurate billing and documentation review Strong knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and data security at all times Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel). Bilingual abilities are a plus to effectively communicate with diverse patient populations Prior clinic or medical office experience demonstrating familiarity with medical terminology and health information management Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks such as filing, data entry (including 10-key typing), and appointment scheduling simultaneously Outstanding customer service skills coupled with professional phone etiquette and a friendly demeanor This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to contribute to quality patient care while honing their administrative expertise in a supportive healthcare environment.
