Medical Resource Specialist

Partnership Health Center is a charitable primary care clinic located in Valdosta, GA. Our mission is to provide medical primary care to South Georgia's uninsured. We are seeking a Full-Time Medical Resource Specialist to join our excellent medical team.

The qualified candidate will:

Greet our patients with a warm and welcoming attitude Answer multiline telephone system Schedule appointments Check patients in and out Scan documents into charts Effectively communicate, taking into consideration the unique personalities of each individual Accomplish various daily desk tasks Explain to patients information necessary to process patients' application for care Assist patients in completion of application and explain why the application is necessary for care Review Patient benefits Request medical records from outside sources following proper protocol and following privacy rules and regulations as put forth by the organization Send medical records to requesting entities as requested following proper protocol and following privacy rules and regulations as put forth by the organization Cover reception duties as needed Assist in referral of patients for specialty care Assist in scheduling hospital follow-up appointments Maintain the privacy of all patient, employee and volunteer information Access information only on a need to know basis Assist in other duties as requested by supervisor Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Medical Assistant preferred Basic Life Support preferred Basic computer skills Previous experience in a medical office setting preferred Previous experience with Epic software a plus Schedule Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 4:00 pm Perks This position includes paid holidays depending on schedule.
