Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and organized Dental Front Office Specialist to join our vibrant dental team. In this role, you will be the welcoming face of our practice, ensuring smooth daily operations and delivering exceptional patient service. Your expertise in medical administrative support, insurance verification, and dental office management will be vital in creating a positive experience for our patients from the moment they walk through the door. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly, manage patient check-in and check-out processes, and handle all front desk duties with professionalism and enthusiasm. Verify insurance coverage, perform insurance eligibility checks, and process claims using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or similar platforms like Meditech or Epic. Schedule appointments efficiently using dental scheduling software and multi-line phone systems while maintaining accurate patient records. Review and update patient documentation, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and proper medical records management. Conduct insurance verification, explain treatment plans to patients, and assist with billing procedures including medical coding (CPT, ICD-9/10) and collection of payments. Manage incoming calls with excellent phone etiquette, handle patient inquiries, and coordinate communication between patients and clinical staff. Maintain a clean and organized front office environment by filing documents, managing medical records, and performing clerical tasks such as typing reports and data entry with 10-key accuracy. Skills Preferred experience in office setting or dental clinic experience with knowledge of dental terminology. Familiarity with insurance processes including verification, ICD-10/ICD-9 coding, CPT coding, and dental billing practices. Excellent customer service skills combined with professional phone etiquette and effective communication abilities. Ability to review documentation accurately while adhering to HIPAA standards for patient privacy and confidentiality. Bilingual abilities are highly valued to serve diverse patient populations effectively.
