  • Full-time Job Overview We are seeking a part-time dedicated and detail-oriented Dental (Orthodontic) Receptionist to join our team.
The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing administrative tasks in a busy orthodontic practice. This role requires proficiency in medical terminology, scheduling, and patient management systems to ensure smooth clinic operations. Bilingual applicants (Spanish and English) are preferred. The hours required are Fridays 7:00am-4:00pm. Please submit your application via email or just drop it off at the front desk! Duties Greet patients warmly and manage front desk operations, including answering multi-line phone systems and handling patient inquiries. Schedule appointments efficiently using EHR system Tops. Accept and appropriately schedule new patient exams. Verify insurance coverage and perform insurance verification for patient accounts. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Assist with medical billing and coding tasks. Review care plans and ensure proper documentation is maintained for each patient visit. Handle medical collections and follow up on outstanding balances as necessary. Provide support in managing office supplies and maintaining a clean, organized front desk area. Communicate effectively with patients regarding treatment plans and office policies while ensuring a positive patient experience. Qualifications Computer experience is required (we are Mac based). Previous experience as a dental receptionist or in a similar medical administrative support role is preferred. Familiarity with dental terminology and clinic experience is highly desirable. Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills to interact positively with patients and staff. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply to enhance communication with diverse patient populations. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while managing individual responsibilities effectively. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for accurate documentation review.
