Headquartered in Boise with an additional clinic located in Nampa, ERHC is the provider of choice for emergency agencies throughout southwestern Idaho and select locations across the states supporting 40+ fire, police, and EMS departments and caring for approximately 8,000 responders and their family members (newborn to age 65). ERHC's practice model spans "360 degrees of care" from preventative wellness, sports medicine, occupational medicine, primary and urgent care, physical therapy, and Workers' Compensation—to mental health therapy, allied health services, and workforce wellness consultation. ERHC has expanded its unique practice model into the Northeastern Washington and Northern Idaho region. Job Overview Join a pioneering healthcare team dedicated to serving the unique health and wellness needs of first responders, including law enforcement officers, firefighters, EMS personnel and their family members. ERHC is seeking an experienced and adaptable Front Office Medical Receptionist to support our growing collaborative healthcare team of physicians, nurse practitioners, physical therapists, mental health counselors, and massage therapists. The ideal candidate is organized, patient-focused, and able to thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment while helping create an outstanding experience for the first responder community. This position reports directly to the Front Desk Administrative Manager. Responsibilities Answer multi-line phones and assist patients with appointment scheduling, check-in/check-out, general inquiries, and insurance verification Welcome patients and create a professional, supportive, and service-oriented experience for first responders, tactical athletes, and their families Accurately manage and update patient demographics, medical records, and insurance information within the electronic medical record system Verify insurance benefits, assist with authorizations, and communicate coverage information to patients as needed Process patient payments, address billing questions, and support front office financial workflows both in person and over the phone Coordinate referrals, intake paperwork, and communication between patients, providers, and outside healthcare offices Maintain efficient daily clinic operations through strong organization, attention to detail, and exceptional customer service Assist with Workers' Compensation and Department of Labor & Industries (L&I) related scheduling, documentation, and patient coordination Qualifications At least 2 years' experience in a medical front office role, ideally in an outpatient clinic setting Strong attention to detail with excellent verbal, written, and customer service communication skills, including experience using multi-line phone systems Working knowledge of updating and maintaining patient demographic and medical insurance information (•ERHC utilizes eClinicalWorks; prior eCW use not required) Experience working with insurance companies to provide documentation, verify benefits, and secure payment for services rendered Comfortable handling billing inquiries and collecting payments both over the phone and in person at the time of service Ability to focus and multi-task in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy and efficiency Demonstrate proficiency in clinic-based EMR applications; knowledge of eClinicalWorks is a plus but not required Be a quick learner who can work independently after training, stay motivated, and support ERHC's mission of serving the first responder community Schedule Full-time, Weekdays (4-5 days/week; Saturday rotation) Work Location/ Travel Multi-practice locations (Nampa & Boise, Idaho)

$18.00 - $20.00 per hour
