In this vital role, you will be the first point of contact for patients, ensuring a smooth and positive experience from appointment scheduling to check-out. Your energetic and organized approach will help streamline office operations, manage patient interactions, and support the overall efficiency of our dental team. We are committed to providing a friendly, professional environment where your skills can shine and contribute to exceptional patient care. Duties Greet patients warmly and assist with check-in and check-out procedures using dental practice management software such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft Schedule appointments accurately while managing multiple lines on multi-line phone systems with professionalism and courtesy Verify insurance coverage, perform insurance eligibility checks, and handle insurance verification processes using Dentrix practice management software Collect payments and process medical billing, including Medicare and other insurance claims, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations Maintain accurate medical records and documentation review, including coding procedures with
CPT, ICD-9, ICD-10
codes for billing and documentation purposes Manage incoming calls efficiently, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills Support medical administrative functions such as filing, data entry, and managing electronic health records (EHR) systems Skills Curious. Humble. Hungry. This position has the potential to develop into Practice Manager, so proven experience leading a practice and being a key resource for other team members is required. Driven business mindset with a strong desire to set a path to growth and achieving and executing plans to achieve revenue targets and cost reduction targets. Proven experience in a medical or dental office setting with strong knowledge of dental terminology and clinic operations Familiarity with EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Dentrix Expertise in medical coding including
CPT, ICD-9/10
coding standards for accurate billing and documentation review Ability to handle insurance verification processes confidently while maintaining HIPAA compliance Excellent computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and typing accuracy (10 key typing) Strong organizational skills with experience in office management, filing systems, and medical records management Strong digital technology acumen including familiarity with Ad It a big advantage. Bilingual abilities are highly valued to serve diverse patient populations effectively Exceptional patient service skills combined with professional phone etiquette and clerical support experience Join us in delivering outstanding patient care through efficient office management and compassionate service.
