Full Job Description Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Dental Assistant to join our team. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing quality dental care to our patients. This position requires proficiency in aseptic technique, infection control, dental receptionist duties, medical documentation, medical terminology, Dentrix software, X-ray procedures, medical records management, and vital sign monitoring.
Responsibilities:
  • Perform chairside assistance during dental procedures
  • Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize equipment following aseptic technique
  • Ensure strict adherence to infection control protocols
  • Greet and assist patients in a friendly and professional manner
  • Schedule appointments and manage patient records using Dentrix software
  • Take and develop X-rays as directed by the dentist
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical documentation
  • Monitor vital signs of patients during procedures
  • Provide post-operative instructions to patients
  • Assist with front desk duties as needed
Experience:
To be successful in this role, you should have the following qualifications and experience:
  • Proven experience as a Dental or similar role
  • Strong knowledge of aseptic technique and infection control protocols
  • Experience as a dental receptionist is preferred
  • Familiarity with medical documentation and terminology
  • Proficiency in Dentrix software for appointment scheduling and record management
  • Ability to perform X-ray procedures and develop X-ray films
  • Knowledge of medical records management practices
