Job Description

Overview As a dental receptionist you will be the first point of contact for patients, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience from appointment scheduling to check-out. Duties Greet patients warmly, verify insurance information, and manage patient intake efficiently using electronic health record (EHR) system Eaglesoft. Schedule appointments accurately while managing multi-line phone systems with professionalism and excellent phone etiquette. Verify insurance coverage, perform insurance authorization and verification procedures, and handle billing processes including medical collection tasks. Maintain organized dental and medical records, review documentation for accuracy, and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy. Assist with front desk operations by managing patient check-in/check-out, updating medical histories, and coordinating care plans with clinical staff. Process payments Support office management tasks such as filing, data entry Experience Prior experience working in a dental clinic or medical office environment is highly preferred and pay is determined on experience Demonstrated proficiency in EMR systems such as Eaglesoft Strong knowledge of medical coding (ICD-9/10), CPT coding, insurance verification processes Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office suite; ability to navigate multi-system platforms like Athenahealth or hospital-based EMR systems confidently. Proven customer service skills with a focus on patient service excellence; clerical experience in a healthcare setting is beneficial.
Pay:
$22.00 - $25.00 per hour
