Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. In this vital role, you will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors, providing exceptional administrative support and ensuring smooth clinic operations. Your energetic approach and excellent communication skills will help create a welcoming environment while managing a variety of front desk responsibilities. The ideal candidate will possess strong computer skills, familiarity with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, and experience in medical administrative support, all while maintaining strict adherence to HIPAA regulations. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to quality patient care through efficient office management. Duties Greet patients and visitors warmly, ensuring a positive first impression and smooth check-in process Schedule appointments efficiently utilizing medical scheduling software and coordinate follow-up visits Maintain accurate medical records by reviewing documentation, managing filing systems, and updating electronic health records (EHR) Assist with patient intake procedures including collecting medical history and updating demographic information Handle multi-line phone systems with professional phone etiquette, directing calls appropriately and taking detailed messages Manage front desk operations including filing, data entry (10 key typing), and general clerical tasks to support clinic efficiency Requirements Proven experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar medical office administrative role Strong knowledge of medical terminology, Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems Excellent communication skills with a professional phone manner Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and basic computer skills for documentation review and data management Experience working in clinics or dental offices is highly desirable Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for managing patient records and appointment schedules Ability to handle sensitive health information confidentially while providing outstanding customer service Join our team to make a meaningful difference in patient care through energetic support and efficient office management!
