Job Description

Our team is searching for a Hospital Coordinator who enjoys a fast-paced environment while working alongside an AMAZING team! Our ideal applicant will have dental or medical office experience, communicating with hospitals and/or surgery centers, obtaining pre-authorizations, and working with patients on surgery scheduling, along with other functions of the front office including checking in and checking out patients, collecting payments, scheduling and verifying appointments. This position is Full-Time, Monday through Friday (no weekends)
Responsibilities:
not to be considered all-inclusive Obtain preauthorization for all hospital surgery that requires prior authorization. Document all phone calls made concerning the patient on their chart and in the database. Call patients to discuss insurance predeterminations and deposits prior to surgery, and/or meet with them to have them sign all financial paperwork. Mail x-rays and models to insurance companies for predeterminations. Scheduling and obtaining pre-certification for all radiology testing (i.e. CT scans, MRI, bone scans). Collect surgery deposits 2 weeks prior to surgery date. Enter patient hospital charges into the computer.

Excellent oral communication skills Professionalism and service orientation toward patients Prior experience in a medical and/or dental environment Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multi-task, and process information quickly and accurately
