Job Description

Part-Time Medical Receptionist Location:
Lafayette, Indiana Schedule:
Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday (approximately 24 hours per week) Position Summary We are seeking a friendly, organized, and dependable Medical Receptionist to serve as the first point of contact for our patients. The ideal candidate enjoys working with people, is detail-oriented, and takes pride in creating a welcoming and professional office environment. Medical office experience is helpful but not required. Strong customer service skills, reliability, and a willingness to learn are most important. Responsibilities Serve as the first point of contact for patients and visitors Check patients in and out and maintain accurate patient records Answer phones, schedule appointments, and assist with patient communications Help onboard new patients and explain office processes Manage incoming faxes and office correspondence Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming office environment Support daily administrative and operational needs of the practice Qualifications Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to multitask and stay organized in a busy environment Basic computer proficiency Professional appearance and demeanor Dependable attendance and punctuality Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in a medical office, customer service, or reception role Experience with scheduling software or electronic medical records (EMR) systems Benefits and Perks No evenings, weekends, or major holidays Supportive team environment Opportunity to learn and grow within a modern healthcare practice Consistent part-time schedule

Salary:
Competitive salary based on experience ($16-$21/hour)
