Job Description

Job Title:
Front Desk Coordinator / Medical Receptionist Position Overview We are seeking an organized, quick-thinking, and reliable Front Desk Coordinator to manage checking-in, insurance coordination, and patient scheduling for a fast-paced community medical practice. This position serves as the vital first point of contact for our patients and requires someone who can rapidly master complex workflows. This position is a temporary role to cover a leave of absence, with the potential to convert into a permanent contract-to-hire opportunity. Job Responsibilities Execute a heavy volume of insurance verifications, benefit verifications, and pre-authorizations by directly contacting insurance payers. Manage patient scheduling through the practice Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system. Actively reach out to inbound clinical patient leads via text messages and outbound phone calls to book new appointments. Coordinate front office operations within a tight-knit, collaborative 5-person clinical team. Thursday:
8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (usually wrapped up by 4:30 PM).
Friday:
8:00 AM - 1:00 PM (short, fast-paced half-day). Includes a designated 1-hour lunch break Monday through Thursday from 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM. Required Skills & Qualifications High school graduate or equivalent education. Strong computer literacy with the ability to retain and master complex medical workflows and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) quickly. Exceptional personal accountability and the maturity to handle constructive feedback constructively. High adaptability and communication skills required to manage a diverse mesh of patient and staff personalities. Ability to work on-site at the clinic and keep pace during busy, high-volume days. Preferred Skills Bilingual (Spanish): Strongly preferred, as roughly 60% of the active patient demographic speaks Spanish.
Compensation & Perks Competitive Pay:
$20.00 - $22.00 per hour (depending on experience).
