We are a 24 hour veterinary facility that provides immediate care and emergency services as well as wellness care to the pets in our community. Our doors have been open to pets in need 24 hours a day, 365 days per year since 1980. We provide our clients with the help, support and education that they need to be the best pet owners for their pets.
What you will do:
As the first point of contact for pet owners, you will play a crucial role in providing support and assistance during stressful situations. A strong customer service background is required, excellent office management skills and a passion for caring and advocating not only for the client, but for the pet as well. Excellent communication, strong multitasking skills, empathy, and the ability to remain calm under pressure are critical skills needed. Responsibilities include:
Learning! We cross train and teach everyone all aspects of veterinary medicine. Greet and assist clients with empathy and professionalism, both in person and over the phone. Use communication skills to explain billing options, wait times, gain needed information and deposits from clients as well as communicating with the Assistants, Technicians and Doctors to express the needs of your client and patients to keep things flowing. Assess each animal that comes in for stability and determine their path in the hospital. Use critical thinking skills to determine priorities of patients being seen, problem solve issues and assist your clients with understanding all of their options. Handle inquiries and provide information regarding hospital services and procedures and prices. This involves educating your client so that they understand what to expect in all areas. We are looking for applicants who can work evenings. Times can be flexible, but typical shifts are 3p-11p, 4p-MN, 5p-1a. One weekend day per week is required (either Saturday or Sunday). Some holidays are also required determined by sign up and hospital need. $17-$21 per hour starting pay based on experience which is ideal, but not necessary. We will train. Bilingual, or Spanish speaking applicants are strongly encouraged to apply!
