Job Description

Summary Job Description:
Radiology Clerk Full Time, Tuesday - Friday - 8am to 6:30pm Under general direction provides clinical and clerical support for imaging services. Responsible for assisting in patient throughput, scheduling, monitoring work queues, obtaining outside films/preparing imaging discs, clerical duties, collaboratively working/communicating with technologists, nurses and providers, and other duties as assigned.
Job Duties:
Answer and return telephone calls timely, with proper phone etiquette and with a pleasant tone of voice. Timely, efficiently, and accurately checks in patients upon arrival to dept into designated modality. Initiate disc production and transfer to patients. Act as a liaison between Radiologist and ordering physicians/offices. Ensure order, pre-authorization, outside films and other necessary documentation is received prior to the patient check in.
Preferred Requirements:
High School Diploma/GED Some job-related experience
