Basic Function:

Demonstrate great first impression of the practice for patients and visitors while maintaining front desk operations.

Responsibilities:

1. Welcome patients and visitors by kindly greeting them and assisting in check in and check out. 2. Verify insurance, collect patients financial responsibilities (copay, deductibles, co-insurance), schedule appointments. 3. Ensure patient demographics and financial information is up to date, and insurance policy is active. 4. Facilitates patient flow by notifying the provider of patients' arrival, being aware of delays, and communicating issues with 5. Protects patients' rights by maintaining confidentiality of personal, medical, and financial information.

Skills:

Equipment that will be used: printers, copy/fax machine, computer, EMR, scanners. 1. Knowledge or ability to learn electronic medical record system 2. Ability to perform redundant tasks with minimal errors 3. Ability to maintain professionalism and a positive attitude with patients, physicians and staff 4. Team player who works well with others
