Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Dental Receptionist to join our vibrant dental practice. In this essential role, you will be the friendly first point of contact for patients and visitors, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience from check-in to check-out. Your expertise in dental administrative support, proficiency with dental and electronic health record (EHR) systems, and exceptional customer service skills will help streamline daily operations and foster patient satisfaction. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a dedicated team committed to delivering outstanding dental care. Duties Greet patients warmly and manage patient intake efficiently, including verifying insurance coverage and updating medical records Schedule appointments using dental office management software such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft, ensuring optimal clinic flow Verify insurance benefits, perform insurance authorizations, and handle insurance verification processes accurately Manage multi-line phone systems with professional phone etiquette, addressing patient inquiries promptly and courteously Maintain accurate documentation review, including CPT coding, ICD-10 coding, and medical billing procedures in compliance with HIPAA regulations Process payments, perform medical collection activities, and handle billing tasks using EMR systems like Meditech or Athenahealth Organize and file patient records securely while ensuring compliance with health information management standards Skills Extensive experience with dental office systems such as Opendental or Eaglesoft, along with proficiency in EMR/EHR systems. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, dental coding, and insurance guidelines for accurate documentation and billing Exceptional computer skills including Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel) and typing skills such as 10 key typing for efficient data entry Excellent customer service abilities paired with professional phone etiquette and effective communication skills in a bilingual environment (preferred) Demonstrated clinic experience or dental office experience with familiarity in dental terminology and office management practices Ability to handle medical administrative tasks such as insurance verification, documentation review, filing, and medical records management Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality and secure handling of patient information Join our team to make a positive impact on patients' oral health journeys!
