Job Description

Our focus is on delivering safe, efficient, and patient-centered care in a professional environment. Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and personable Medical Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong administrative skills, excellent communication abilities, and a comprehensive understanding of medical office operations. As a Medical Receptionist, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients, manage scheduling, handle medical records, and support clinical staff to ensure smooth daily operations. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly and professionally, ensuring a positive first impression. Schedule appointments accurately using electronic health record (EHR) systems such as gGastro. Verify patient insurance coverage and perform insurance authorization and verification procedures. Manage patient check-in processes efficiently while maintaining confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations. Maintain and update medical records, ensuring proper documentation review and accuracy. Handle multi-line phone systems with courteous phone etiquette to address patient inquiries and direct calls appropriately. Assist collection processes for patient out of pocket expenses. Support clinical staff by preparing intake forms and managing clinic schedules Ensure office supplies are stocked and organized; perform filing and administrative support tasks to maintain an efficient front desk environment. Requirements Proven experience in a medical office setting or healthcare environment with familiarity in clinic operations. Preferred knowledge in insurance verification, and health information management. Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite; typing speed of at least 10 key digits per minute preferred. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality at all times. Exceptional customer service skills combined with professional phone etiquette. Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse patient populations. Previous clinic office experience is advantageous; familiarity with hospital or healthcare settings is beneficial. Pay:
$20.00 - $24.00 per hour
