Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team! In this vital role, you will be the friendly face and organized voice of our practice, ensuring smooth daily operations and exceptional patient experiences. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly upon arrival, verify their appointments, and assist with check-in and check-out procedures using Electronic Health Record (EHR) Schedule patient appointments efficiently while managing calendar updates and rescheduling as needed. Verify insurance coverage and perform insurance authorization processes to ensure accurate billing. Provide financial instructions, collect and process copayments, coinsurance, deductibles, and outstanding balances. Maintain accurate medical records by reviewing documentation for completeness and compliance with HIPAA regulations. Answer multi-line phone systems professionally, providing excellent customer service. Perform medical administrative functions including but not limited to filing, data entry, managing electronic health records, respond to and send faxes. Schedule surgical procedures, obtain insurance authorizations, and maintain schedule for pre-operative and post-operative patient appointments. Provide support to other staff members as needed. Qualifications Proven experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar medical office administrative role. Strong knowledge of EMR/EHR Knowledge of medical terminology, Medicare guidelines, health insurance, and HIPAA compliance requirements. Excellent customer service skills. Exceptional phone etiquette with the ability to handle multi-line phone systems confidently. Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse patient populations effectively. 3-5 years Healthcare experience is preferred to ensure seamless integration into our fast-paced environment. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude and delivering outstanding patient service.
Pay:
