Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. In this vital role, you will be the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing a variety of administrative and clerical tasks. Your energetic approach will ensure smooth clinic operations, accurate appointment scheduling, and efficient handling of patient information. The ideal candidate is motivated, organized, and possesses a strong understanding of medical office procedures and systems. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly and professionally, ensuring a positive first impression. Schedule appointments accurately using electronic health record (EHR) systems such as AdvancedMD and Nextech Verify insurance coverage and perform insurance eligibility checks to facilitate smooth billing processes. Collect and process payments, including medical collections and billing for services rendered. Manage patient records with meticulous attention to HIPAA compliance and confidentiality standards. Answer multi-line phone systems efficiently while maintaining excellent phone etiquette. Assist with medical administrative support tasks such as filing, data entry, and managing medical records. Coordinate with the healthcare provider to ensure timely appointment scheduling and patient flow management. Support office management duties including inventory management of office supplies and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations. Skills Proven experience in a medical office setting with strong clinic or dental office experience preferred. Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and familiarity with health information management software. Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations to safeguard patient privacy and confidentiality. Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to handle sensitive situations professionally.
