Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Medical Receptionist, where your energetic and organized approach will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors. In this vital role, you will manage front desk operations, coordinate patient appointments, and ensure seamless communication between patients and medical staff. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help create a welcoming environment while supporting efficient clinic workflows. Duties Greet patients and visitors warmly, providing exceptional customer service and assistance Schedule appointments accurately using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) system called optimantra, and staying within HIPAA compliance Manage patient check-in and check-out processes with professionalism and efficiency Handle multi-line phone systems with courteous phone etiquette, directing calls appropriately Maintain accurate medical records, ensuring proper filing, documentation review, and data entry Assist with medical billing and collection processes, including CPT coding, ICD-10/ICD-9 coding, and medical documentation review Support clinic operations by managing appointment reminders, patient intake forms, and care plan documentation Use office management software like Microsoft Office, excel, helcim management systems to streamline administrative tasks Skills Strong knowledge of medical terminology, ICD coding (ICD-10/ICD-9), CPT coding, and health information management standards Experience with EMR/EHR systems; familiarity medical terminology Excellent communication skills with the ability to provide clear instructions and compassionate patient service Proven clerical experience in a medical with proficiency in typing (including 10-key), filing, data entry, and Microsoft Office applications Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality and secure handling of health information Ability to perform billing support Strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities at front desk while maintaining a friendly demeanor This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to contribute to quality healthcare delivery through exceptional administrative support.
