These are community-base practices. We are seeking a dedicated and professional Dental Front Desk Receptionist to join our dynamic dental practice. In this vital role, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients, managing appointment scheduling, patient check-in and check-out, insurance verification, and medical record maintenance. Your expertise will ensure a seamless patient experience while supporting the clinic's administrative operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, proficiency in dental and medical office systems, and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly and professionally upon arrival, ensuring a positive first impression. Schedule appointments accurately using dental practice management software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix. Verify insurance coverage and benefits, including Medicare and Medicaid, ensuring proper documentation. Collect payments, process billing, and perform medical collection tasks with accuracy. Maintain and update patient records within Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems such as Epic, Meditech, or eClinicalWorks. Manage multi-line phone systems with excellent phone etiquette to efficiently handle inquiries. Review documentation for completeness and accuracy, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Assist with insurance verification, pre-authorizations, and claims processing using systems like Athenahealth or Meditech. Support administrative tasks such as filing medical records, managing office supplies, and handling correspondence. Coordinate with clinical staff to facilitate smooth clinic operations and patient flow. Maintain confidentiality of sensitive health information in accordance with HIPAA standards. Skills Proven experience in a dental or medical office environment with strong front desk or administrative support skills. Proficiency in EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Epic, Meditech, or eClinicalWorks; familiarity with dental software like Eaglesoft or Dentrix. Knowledge of medical billing procedures, including CPT coding, ICD-9/10 coding, and Medicare/Medicaid processes. Strong understanding of medical terminology, care plans, and health information management. Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel), typing (including 10-key), and familiarity with office management software. Exceptional customer service skills combined with professional phone etiquette. Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse patient populations. Prior clinic or hospital experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided for specific systems used.
