Job Description

Duties:
  • Greet patients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner
  • Answer phone calls and schedule appointments using medical scheduling systems
  • Verify patient insurance information and collect necessary co-pays or payments
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations
  • Assist with patient check-in and check-out processes at the front desk
  • Provide excellent customer service and address patient inquiries or concerns
  • Coordinate referrals to specialists or other healthcare providers as needed
  • Manage medical records and ensure accurate documentation
  • Collaborate with medical staff to ensure efficient workflow in the office
  • Handle emergencies or urgent situations, such as contacting the ER when necessary With or without experience receptionist needed for a specialist office.
Be ready for lots of multitasking. We have an immediate FT position at our Frederick location. Knowledge on Ambulatory Surgery Center protocols is a plus, but not required. Candidate must have excellent work ethics, very good computer skills, customer service skills, and a team player with a positive attitude, integrity and honesty. Be ready for a lot of multi-tasking. References required.
