Job Description

As a Security Officer Healthcare Reception Desk in Glen Burnie, MD , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal at a busy healthcare location where you will serve as the front desk presence, welcoming visitors, assisting with access procedures, monitoring activity, and responding to security-related concerns with professionalism and care. In this stationary role, you will support a people-first environment through strong communication, teamwork, and integrity while helping to deter incidents and create a positive experience for everyone who enters the facility.

PM What You'll Do:
Provide customer service at the front desk by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a healthcare location. Monitor access to the location by greeting visitors, verifying identification and/or appointments, and documenting entry in accordance with site guidelines. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including communicating with staff, visitors, and/or emergency services when needed. Support front desk operations by answering questions, directing foot traffic, monitoring cameras and/or alarm activity, and reporting unusual activity to the appropriate contacts. Help to deter unauthorized access and/or disruptions through consistent presence, attentive observation, and thorough incident documentation.
Minimum Requirements:
Be at least 21 years of age. Have at least 1 year of security-related experience. Customer service experience is preferred. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
