This role is ideal for someone who has successfully managed a busy front desk before and understands the importance of professionalism, organization, accuracy, and client care in a healthcare setting. This is not an entry-level receptionist position. We need someone who can help keep the front office running smoothly, manage schedules carefully, communicate well with clients and staff, and support the daily needs of the office. What We're Looking For The ideal candidate is: Reliable, punctual, and committed , medical office, or behavioral health office work Skilled with scheduling and managing appointment calendars Comfortable using Microsoft Office, email, and basic computer systems Organized and detail-oriented Professional, friendly, and firm when needed Able to communicate clearly verbally and in writing Able to accept constructive feedback and make corrections A team player who follows rules and office procedures Comfortable working with clients who may be experiencing emotional distress or mental health challenges Key Responsibilities Greet clients, families, and visitors professionally Answer phones and manage front office communication Schedule, confirm, cancel, and reschedule appointments Review schedules for conflicts, errors, or double-booking Support and basic administrative tasks Maintain confidentiality and follow HIPAA expectations Communicate with providers and staff regarding scheduling or client needs Help maintain a calm, welcoming, and organized office environment Clean, sanitize, and restock the office throughout the day Keep waiting areas, bathrooms, therapy rooms, and common spaces neat and ready for use Important Expectations This position requires someone who understands that the front desk affects the entire office. Scheduling errors, missed communication, poor follow-through, or lack of attention to detail can directly impact clients, providers, and daily operations. Cleaning, sanitizing, and stocking are also part of the role and are considered primary responsibilities.
