Job Description

Southern Maryland Orthodontic Studio is seeking a friendly, organized, and customer-focused Front Desk Receptionist / Treatment Coordinator to join our growing team. This individual will serve as the first point of contact for patients and play a key role in creating an exceptional patient experience. The ideal candidate is professional, dependable, detail-oriented, and enjoys building relationships with patients and families. Dental or orthodontic experience is preferred, and candidates willing to become cross-trained in multiple aspects of practice operations are strongly encouraged to apply. This position offers approximately 28-32 hours per week, competitive compensation, paid holidays, healthcare assistance, and the opportunity to grow with a modern, patient-centered orthodontic practice. Duties & Responsibilities Greet patients and families in a warm, professional manner Answer incoming phone calls and respond to patient inquiries Schedule and confirm appointments Check patients in and out efficiently Verify insurance benefits and assist with insurance-related questions Collect payments and maintain accurate financial records Present treatment plans and discuss financial arrangements with patients Maintain accurate patient records and documentation Coordinate communication between patients, team members, and referring offices Assist with administrative and office management tasks as needed Support marketing, patient retention, and customer service initiatives Help maintain a positive, organized, and efficient office environment Preferred Qualifications Previous dental, orthodontic, or healthcare front desk experience preferred Strong customer service and communication skills Comfortable discussing treatment fees and payment options Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities Proficiency with computers and office software Positive attitude, professionalism, and strong work ethic Willingness to learn and grow with the practice
Pay:
$25.00 - $32.00 per hour
