ONE YEAR
of experience in a dental office . Must possess strong administrative skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for providing outstanding patient service. This role is essential in ensuring smooth clinic operations, managing patient interactions, and supporting the delivery of high-quality dental care. The position offers an engaging environment that values professionalism and efficiency, with opportunities to use advanced dental and medical office management systems. Duties Greet patients warmly and professionally, creating a welcoming atmosphere for all visitors. Manage appointment scheduling using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems using
OPEN DENTAL
to optimize patient flow. Verify insurance coverage and benefits, including insurance verification for dental and medical plans such as Medicare or Medicaid. Collect payments and perform dental billing tasks utilizing
OPEN DENTAL.
Maintain accurate patient records, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and proper documentation review procedures. Handle multi-line phone systems with professional phone etiquette to address patient inquiries and coordinate appointments effectively. Assist with intake procedures, including collecting patient information and accurately updating medical records. Support office management tasks such as filing, data entry (including 10-key typing), and maintaining organized dental office files. Collaborate with clinical staff to facilitate care plans and ensure seamless communication between patients and providers. Ensure the confidentiality of health information management while providing exceptional customer service to patients. Qualifications Proven one year of experience in a dental office setting with strong front desk or administrative support skills. Familiarity with EMR systems such as
OPEN DENTAL.
Knowledge of dental terminology, CPT coding, ICD-10/ICD-9 coding, and medical billing practices. Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and health information management standards. Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and office management software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix. Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to handle sensitive situations professionally. Bilingual abilities are preferred to serve diverse patient populations effectively. Previous clinic or dental office experience is a requirement; familiarity with insurance verification processes is a plus. Pay:
$17.00 - $20.00 per hour
