Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Dental Receptionist to join our independent periodontal practice. In this front-office role, you will be the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing a variety of administrative tasks. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a dedicated team committed to delivering outstanding dental care and positive patient experiences. Duties Warmly and professionally greet patients and check them in and out of their appointments, creating a welcoming environment for all visitors Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments using Dentrix dental practice management software Handle multi-line phone systems with excellent phone etiquette, addressing patient inquiries promptly and effectively Verify insurance coverage and perform insurance eligibility checks Collect payments, process billing, and manage accounts receivable Reconcile daily deposits Manage emails Import and export digital radiographs to other offices Assist in transcribing and emailing letters to other offices Review documentation for accuracy, including medical history forms, treatment plans, and insurance claims Open and close the office for the day Assist with administrative support tasks such as ordering office supplies, scheduling office maintenance tasks, Qualifications Previous experience working in a dental office or healthcare setting is preferred but we are willing to train the right candidate Proficiency in dental practice management software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix is a plus Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively Ability to handle medical scheduling, insurance verification, and documentation review accurately Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in data entry, and office management tasks Ability to maintain professionalism while managing multi-line phone systems and performing clerical duties efficiently
Pay:
$25.00 - $30.00 per hour
