Job Description

We are hiring a medical receptionist who will be responsible for coordinating daily operations, greeting patients, scheduling appointments, handling financial transactions, managing patient records, and providing administrative support to ensure a smooth and efficient patient experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Patient Interaction:
Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner. Answer phone calls cheerfully, screen inquiries, and direct calls appropriately. Provide information to patients regarding procedures, policies, and services. Manage patient flow and ensure a comfortable waiting area.
Scheduling and Record Management:
Schedule appointments and maintain accurate patient information. Update patient information in the electronic health record (EHR) system. Prepare and maintain patient records prior to appointments. Verify insurance information and collect copays. Ensure confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
Administrative Support:
Perform general office tasks, such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents. Manage incoming and outgoing mail. Process payments and handling billing inquiries. Assist with other administrative duties as needed.
Communication and Customer Service:
Communicate effectively with patients, our Optometrist, and staff. Provide
EXCELLENT
customer service to ensure a positive patient experience. Address patient concerns and questions promptly and professionally. Maintain a professional and organized work environment.
Problem Solving:
Identify and resolve routine problems and issues. Escalate complex issues to appropriate personnel when necessary.
Time Management:
Prioritize tasks and manage time effectively. Meet deadlines and maintain a high level of accuracy.
Job Type:
Part-time Pay:
$16.00 - $18.00 per hour
