Job Description

We are looking for a Medical Front Desk Receptionist who is willing to work as part of an amazing team! Under the direction of the Practice Manager, the Medical Front Desk Receptionist will perform various administrative tasks as listed below and any other delegated tasks, as determined by management. Primary responsibilities including greeting and checking in patients, answering phones, scheduling appointments, and verifying insurance. The schedule is Monday - Friday, 8AM -5PM, with one weekday alternating until 6PM, and rotating Saturday morning half days. Part time or full time employment opportunities available!

Primary Job Responsibilities:
Serves patients by greeting and helping them, scheduling appointments and maintaining records and accounts. Welcomes patients and visitors in person or on the multi-line telephone, and answering or referring inquiries. Optimizes patients' satisfaction & provider time by scheduling appointments in person or by telephone. Comforts patients by anticipating patients' anxieties, answering patients' questions, and maintaining the reception area and public restroom. Ensures patient treatment records are properly retrieved and filed in the patient's file. Maintains patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal and financial information. Obtains revenue by recording and updating financial information, and recording and collecting patient charges. Protects patients' rights by maintaining confidentiality of medical, personal, and financial information. Maintains operations by following policies and procedures. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed Any additional clinical or administrative tasks as determined by practice management
Desired Qualifications:
At least one year experience as a Medical Front Desk Associate At least one year of experience with a multi-line phone. At least one year experience with an EMR (eClinical Works and Phreesia a plus) At least one year of experience with verifying medical insurance for patients. At least one year of experience with creating prior authorizations. Familiarity with medical billing Ability to deal with patients in a professional and welcoming manner A cheerful disposition and the ability to get along with all types of personalities Work Remotely No
