In this vital role, you will be the first point of contact for patients, ensuring a welcoming environment while managing a variety of administrative and clinical support tasks. Your enthusiasm and organizational skills will help streamline daily operations, facilitate smooth patient flow, and uphold the highest standards of patient service. The ideal candidate is energetic, proactive, and possesses a strong foundation in medical office procedures, dental terminology, and health information management systems. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to exceptional patient care in a fast-paced dental clinic setting. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly and professionally, ensuring a positive first impression Verify insurance coverage, perform insurance eligibility checks, and handle insurance verification processes using systems like Epic, Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Meditech Schedule appointments efficiently utilizing dental scheduling software and multi-line phone systems Manage patient intake forms, update electronic health records (EHR systems), and review documentation for accuracy and completeness Collect payments, process medical collections, and perform medical billing tasks including CPT coding, ICD-9/10 coding, and Medicare claims processing Maintain accurate dental records and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations by safeguarding patient information Assist with office management duties such as filing, data entry (including 10 key typing), and managing medical records using EMR systems like eClinicalWorks or Athenahealth Support clinical staff by coordinating care plans and facilitating communication between patients and providers Experience Prior experience working in a dental clinic or medical office environment is highly preferred Demonstrated proficiency with EMR systems such as Epic, Meditech, Athenahealth, Dentrix or Eaglesoft Strong knowledge of medical terminology, ICD coding (ICD-9/10), CPT coding, and healthcare documentation review processes Experience with insurance verification processes including Medicare billing and care plan documentation Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and health information management software Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse patient populations effectively Proven customer service skills with the ability to handle multi-line phone systems with professionalism and courtesy Join us in delivering outstanding patient experiences while advancing your career in a supportive and energetic environment.
