We are offering on the job training for the ideal candidate. You will be working directly with our patients and all candidates must have empathy and patience. As well as excellent communication and organizational skills, a strong work ethic and a positive attitude toward patient care. As our Medical Receptionist, you will be the first person our patients interact with and you need to make them feel welcome and greet them with a smile. You will be performing clerical duties related to the daily medical office functions including but not limited to, answering the phone, scheduling appointments, faxing, prepping charts and filing. Responsibilities and Duties Greeting patients, verifying patient and insurance information, entering patient intake information into billing software, collecting copays and outstanding balances Answering multi-line telephone, scheduling appointments, receiving and sending faxes, calling to confirm next day appointments Preparing daily charts, including verifying insurance eligibility and copays, confirming that referrals are current, pulling and filing charts Entering patient charges for appointment into eThomas software Maintaining a clean work area and patient waiting room Qualifications and Skills Minimum High School Diploma / GED Experience using eThomas software preferred but not required Computer skills including Microsoft Office products Word and Excel Exceptional verbal and written communication skills Must be able to multi-task and follow schedules Copier, printer and fax machine experience
