In this vital role, you will manage patient check-ins and check-outs, handle appointment scheduling, and ensure accurate medical billing and coding. Your energetic approach will help create a positive patient experience while maintaining precise financial records. This position offers an exciting opportunity to blend administrative excellence with medical billing expertise in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Duties Greet patients warmly, verify insurance information, and update medical records in electronic health record (EHR) systems Schedule patient appointments efficiently while managing calendar updates and reminders Collect co-pays and outstanding balances, ensuring accurate cash handling and recordkeeping Perform medical coding using CPT (Current Procedural Terminology), ICD-9, ICD-10, and DRG (Diagnosis-Related Group) codes for procedures and diagnoses Submit claims electronically to insurance providers and follow up on unpaid or denied claims for timely resolution Review medical records for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with billing requirements Maintain confidentiality of patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations and organizational policies Requirements Proven experience in a medical office setting with familiarity in medical billing and administrative duties Strong knowledge of medical terminology, medical records management, and coding systems including CPT, ICD-9, ICD-10, DRG, and ICD coding standards Experience working with EMR (Electronic Medical Records) or EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems for documentation and billing purposes Ability to perform medical collection activities effectively while maintaining professionalism Excellent communication skills to interact confidently with patients, insurance companies, and healthcare providers Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks accurately under pressure Knowledge of medical billing software and understanding of insurance claim processes Embrace this opportunity to be a vital part of a compassionate healthcare team that values energetic service delivery and precise administrative support.
