Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team! In this vital role, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing a variety of administrative and clerical tasks. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly, verify their appointment details, and assist with check-in procedures using EMR system Schedule appointments efficiently while managing the clinic's calendar to optimize patient flow. Verify insurance coverage, perform insurance eligibility checks, and handle insurance documentation review. Collect payments and process medical collections. Maintain accurate medical records by filing documents properly and updating patient information in electronic health record (EHR) system. Answer multi-line phone systems professionally using proper phone etiquette; direct calls appropriately and take detailed messages when necessary. Support administrative tasks such as data entry, typing reports, managing office supplies, and ensuring compliance with health information management standards. Assist with intake procedures for new patients and support front desk operations to foster a positive patient experience. Qualifications Excellent computer skills Exceptional customer service skills coupled with professional phone etiquette and clear communication abilities. Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse patient populations effectively. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations ensures confidentiality and proper handling of sensitive health information. $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
